1. Starbucks Paradise Drink

The paradise drink tastes like pina colada. If you like the yummy yellow, pina colada-flavored, starbursts, you will love this drink. A grande (16oz) cup of the paradise drink has 45mg of caffeine and 140 calories.

2. Pineapple Passion Fruit Refresher

The new pineapple passion fruit refresher is an ice-shaken combination of water and the pineapple passion fruit refresher base syrup.

If you prefer tangy drinks, you will enjoy this refresher as it has a tarty aftertaste. A grande cup of the pineapple passionfruit refresher has 45mg of caffeine and 100 calories.

3. Pineapple Passion Fruit Lemonade Refresher

The pineapple passion fruit lemonade refresher is quite acidic and has a pineapple aftertaste which can be revolting if you do not like pineapples or sour taste. A great way to get around the tartiness is by adding half pumps of mango dragon fruit and strawberry Acai base. The new drink tastes like caffeinated fruit salad.

For the pineapple passion fruit lemonade refresher, pineapple passion fruit syrup is cut with lemonade and shaken with ice. Dried pineapples are added for extra color. It has 140 calories and 45mg of caffeine per grande cup.

4. Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Refresher with Cold Foam

Another way to elevate the pineapple passionfruit lemonade refresher is by topping it with Starbucks sweet cream cold foam which has vanilla in it.

This is an excellent way to cut some of the sourness in the refresher.

5. Paradise Drink with Strawberry Puree

The beauty of adding strawberry puree is that it doesn’t add to the caffeine in the paradise drink. Simply ask for a paradise drink with strawberry puree.

The ready-to-drink peach passion refresher has tree nuts (coconut) so you may want to skip them if you are allergic to nuts.

7. Mango Passionfruit Juice Blend (Japan and Europe)

Mango passionfruit juice blend is available overseas precisely in Japan and in some European stores. It is a dairy-free blended drink also called mango passionfruit frappuccino but is nothing like the frappuccinos in North America. So, you may want to try it on your next trip overseas.

Mango passionfruit frappuccino has ice, mango passionfruit juice, and hibiscus iced tea blended together.

8. Iced Passion Tango Tea

If you desire a caffeine-free Starbucks cold drink, go for the iced-shaken passion tango teas which are also zero sugar and zero calories.

You can have the standard iced passion tango tea that is shaken with water and ice or the lemonade version. Iced passion tango teas are a bit tangy so you may want to sweeten them with the special simple syrup from Starbucks. Passion tea also tastes great with raspberry syrup.

9. Iced Passion Tango Lemonade Tea

The iced passion tango lemonade tea has ice, passion tango tea, and lemonade shaken together. It has zero caffeine but the lemonade adds a few calories to it. A grande iced passion tango lemonade tea has 50 calories.

Apart from passionfruit, here are other fruit drinks to try at Starbucks.

Is There Passionfruit in Starbucks Passion Tango Tea?

There has been a never-ending debate about whether the passion tea at Starbucks has passion fruit in it. Starbucks remains tight-lipped about this debate but the passion tea lovers and baristas are divided right through the middle.

For starters, Starbucks’ passion tango tea ingredients list does not list passion fruit as one of the ingredients. However, it lists a “fruit juice extract” which some people speculate to include passion fruit. Some people also assert that the name passion tea subtly implies passion fruit.

In fact, Starbucks initially used Tazo passion tea bags which have passion fruit clearly listed as one of the flavors. Tazo has since been replaced with Teavana passion tea pouches.

Those who are adamant that there is no passion fruit in passion tango tea highlight the absence of passionfruit in the ingredients list. They also claim that the passion fruit flavor is not apparent in Starbucks passion tango tea.

Our Take

Both sides make valid points and it’s hard to definitively tell whether there is passion fruit in passion tea. Only Starbucks can settle the debate by coming out clearly.

However, this does not stand in our way of enjoying the passion tango drinks. Whichever side of the debate you find yourself on, if you love the tango drinks, let’s refresh and show our passion even as we debate.

Was the Iced Guava Passionfruit Drink Discontinued?

Yes, unfortunately, Starbucks discontinued guava juice which had hints of passion fruit flavor. The iced guava passionfruit drink was an ice-shaken beverage that combined ice, guava juice blend, pineapple and ginger syrup, and coconut milk.

It was a zero-caffeine beverage but high in calories with a grande size having about 190 calories.

The pineapple and ginger syrup has also been discontinued so this drink may never come back.
